Cathy Turner

Founder & Director

As a qualified Chartered Accountant and active member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers Australia, I bring over two decades of administrative and financial experience, within and beyond the disability sector. My professional background has given me a deep appreciation for structure and accountability, while my personal connection to the disability community reminds me daily of the importance of compassion and understanding.

It’s this balance of head and heart that guides my approach to supporting NDIS participants and their families.

Having personally navigated the NDIS to support my own family, I understand firsthand the difficulty in understanding NDIS plans, the complexities and challenges of accessing the funded supports, understanding the NDIS requirements and attending stressful plan reassessment meetings. The experience can indeed be hard, confusing and frustrating.

Through Essential Plan Support Services, my goal is to offer a reliable service that makes a difference to the lives of people with disabilities and their families. From my own experience, I know how crucial it is to support and advocate for people with disabilities and know the feeling of comfort and stability when someone is there by your side, guiding you and helping you along the way.

My mission is to simplify life for NDIS participants and their families by handling the tedious paperwork, managing payments associated with their NDIS plans, and providing funding oversight. I do this skilfully and with heart. This allows people we support to focus on what matters most – getting the supports they need that enable them to live a meaningful life.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, singing, musicals, going to the movies and learning about personal development.

Debbie Polette

Service Coordinator

Before joining EPSS, I spent several years working as a Medical Scientist, a role that fulfilled my investigative and analytical interests. During this time, I also worked as a Drug & Alcohol Counsellor, connecting with individuals through meaningful change. Motivated by the rewarding experience of working directly with people and witnessing positive outcomes, I transitioned permanently into the community sector.

As a Team Leader in a mental health organisation supporting NDIS participants, I developed a comprehensive understanding of NDIS policies and procedures, led a team of dedicated support staff and assisted participants with NDIS plan reviews. This experience provided a solid foundation in budgeting, financial coordination and helping participants access the supports they required.

My aim is to apply this knowledge and experience to managing the administrative aspects of participants’ plans, enabling them to focus on achieving their goals. Having witnessed the transformative impact of the NDIS firsthand, I am passionate about delivering accurate and transparent services that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Beyond EPSS, I enjoy immersing myself in nature, practicing yoga and aqua aerobics, and exploring human behaviour and personal development.

Mae Movera

Administration Clerk

My professional background before joining EPSS includes extensive experience in sales and customer service within the telecommunication and print industries. I have a proven track record in building and maintaining strong customer relationships in the workplace.

Additionally, for 10 years, I worked as a School Bus Aide on special needs school buses, supporting students ranging from kindergarten to high school age.

I find joy in watching sports, movies, shows, and reading books because they exemplify people utilising their abilities to the fullest. As a Plan Manager, I am committed to enabling participants to access the services they need to live their best lives.

My meticulous attention to detail ensures that NDIS participants do not have to take on the burden of managing their NDIS funding. By diligently fulfilling my responsibilities, I help participants focus on living their lives to the fullest.

Evic Bien

Accounts Clerk

Prior to joining EPSS, I spent over 20 years in the real estate industry, focusing on administration, accounts, and property management. My passion for helping individuals, especially those with disabilities, to live fulfilling lives is what inspired me to join EPSS.

The ability to make a significant difference in someone’s life each day keeps me motivated and committed.

At EPSS, my goal is to offer participants and their family’s peace of mind and more time for what truly matters by managing all the administrative aspects of their NDIS plan. This allows them to focus on living the life they want.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, practicing Pilates, taking leisurely walks, and pottering around in the garden.
