About Essential Plan Support Services

EPSS provides NDIS plan management — the financial administration of your NDIS plan.

We process invoices, submit claims to the NDIS, and make payments to providers once funds are released. We maintain accurate records, and you can check your funding position through the dashboard at any time, with monthly statements as a record.

Our focus is straightforward: invoices handled correctly, providers paid promptly, and funding information that is clear and current — so supports can continue without disruption.

Why we do this

EPSS was founded by Cathy Turner, who has a senior accounting background and has also navigated the NDIS within her own family — working out what a plan actually covered, arranging supports, keeping track of funding, and attending plan reassessment meetings.

That experience made clear how much can go wrong when the financial side of a plan is not managed well, how much easier everything becomes when it is, and how much it matters to the people living it. EPSS was built on what that pointed to: accuracy, reliability, and honest communication.

EPSS exists to provide a plan management service that people can genuinely rely on. Not one that overpromises, but one that does what it says, consistently.

How we work

We built EPSS around four things that matter most to the people we work with.

Getting it right

Invoices are reviewed carefully against your NDIS plan and NDIS requirements before being submitted. Accuracy is not optional — it is the foundation everything else depends on.

Moving promptly

Once requirements are met and funds are released by the NDIS, payments are made without unnecessary delay. We keep invoices moving and providers informed.

Keeping things clear

You can check your funding position through the dashboard at any time, with monthly statements as a record — so you are never left chasing us for an update.

Working together

Plan management works best when everyone has the information they need and responsibilities remain clear. We work constructively with participants, providers, Support Coordinators, and plan nominees, and respond fairly when concerns arise.

Cost

Plan management is funded within your NDIS plan under Choice and Control (Improved Life Choices).

There is no out-of-pocket cost to you for this service.

What plan management is — and is not

Plan management is the financial administration of your NDIS plan. It is not the same as implementing your plan or coordinating your supports.

With plan management you can use both registered and unregistered providers, provided the provider has a valid ABN and the supports meet NDIS requirements — giving you more choice in the supports you access. You can also choose whether invoices are processed automatically or held for your approval first.

EPSS DOES

  • Receive and review invoices against your NDIS plan and NDIS requirements

  • Submit claims to the NDIS

  • Make payments to providers once funds are released by the NDIS

  • Process reimbursement claims where you have paid for a support yourself

  • Provide monthly statements and access to funding balances through the dashboard

EPSS DOES NOT

  • Decide what can be funded or claimed — that is determined by the NDIS

  • Implement your NDIS plan or coordinate your supports

  • Recommend providers or supports

  • Prepare or amend provider invoices

Implementing your plan — choosing supports, organising services, deciding how your funding is used — is your responsibility, with support from a Support Coordinator if you have one, or through the NDIS directly.

Meet our team

The team handles the day-to-day work of plan management — reviewing invoices against NDIS plans and requirements, submitting claims to the NDIS, making payments, and maintaining accurate records. Cathy, Debbie and Evic are members of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).

Cathy Turner

Founder & Director

Cathy has a senior accounting background including time at KPMG, and over two decades of experience in financial and administrative roles within and beyond the disability sector.

EPSS gets its rigour from that background — the standards applied to invoice review, record keeping, and how the team communicates when something needs attention.
debbie

Debbie Polette

Plan Manager

Debbie spent more than 20 years as a Medical Scientist, while also working as a Drug and Alcohol Counsellor.

Drawn to working more closely with people, she moved into the community sector as a Team Leader in a mental health organisation, supporting NDIS participants and assisting with plan reviews. This background means Debbie understands both the detail of NDIS processes and how they affect the participants who rely on them.

Mae Movera

Administration Clerk

Mae has extensive experience in customer service and administration, including sales roles across the telecommunications and print industries, and spent 10 years as a School Bus Aide on special-needs school buses, supporting students from kindergarten through to high school.

Mae is meticulous about detail — and having supported students with disability directly, she knows why getting it right matters.

Evic Bien

Plan Manager & Accounts Clerk

Evic spent over 20 years in real estate, working across administration, accounts and property management. She moved into plan management wanting work that makes a direct difference to people with disability.

She takes consistency seriously. The people relying on plan management are relying on invoices being handled the same way, every time.
